Effortless Living

Dear God,

Following the Christ-Self, listening to what I just “know,” is good advice from A Course of Love.  It makes life effortless, effortless as long as I remember to turn inward and ask of my inner Self what to say, what to do, what to dwell on in my mind and heart.

Be with me today.  I ask this frequently, and I know that You heed me.  Being close to You is the way that all of us are meant to travel.

Thank You for staying near.

Amen.

Listen to God

Dear God,

I am keyed up from my new practice of going for a walk before breakfast.  My body just needs some food before I exercise.  I get myself all tangled up sometimes.  I discover again that I can get an early Answer to such problems from You, just by asking.

I will go easy today, get something else to eat, breakfast and something else.  You don’t want me to make heavy demands on myself, because You point out what is best, and it is always easy—when I am listening to You.

Thank You for straightening me out this morning.

Amen.

Listening—to God

Dear God,

I must make decisions that are congruent with my own temperament and inclinations.  Listening too much to others is just confusing, creating static.  Let me shut myself up to You alone, sure that in so doing You will get through to me.

The solution is always with the problem.  Keep my mind from quivering, keep my mind peaceful and calm, joyous.  Then You will pour a healing balm over me, and all will be well.

Thank You.

Amen.
