Depending on God’s Strong Will

Dear God,

Give me Your strength, not to be self-sufficient without You, but courageous in a good sense, including You always.  If I stay close to You, there is no end to what I can accomplish.  This is not ego speaking, but supreme good sense.

You have much that You want us to do in this world.  Speak to me in Your silence and give me the will to do Your bidding.

Thank You!

Amen.

Arrival of Spring

Dear God,

We are heading into spring, a good time of year.  Thank You for the anticipatory attitude that I have this morning.

If we are lucky, the pandemic is waning, and our two years of frequent isolation will be at an end.  May I have discovered something good from this enforced carefulness.

Give me a good head on my shoulders.  Keep me rational and upbeat, two qualities that go together.  May spring this year bring an acquiescence to Your will and to my own–one and the same, if I stay aware. Allow me to attract only the good.

Thank You for hearing my prayer.

Amen.
