Flow of Life

Dear God,

If I stay in the flow of life, taking things as they come, I stay calm.  If I dam up my worries and fret, I am agitated and nervous.  Why don’t I put these two facts together and make sense of them on an ongoing basis?

Keep me in the flow of life today.  Let me know that You are always here, helping me.

Thank You.

Amen.

Listening to My Heart

Dear God,

Help me to avoid being fretful.  I am in Your arms, always and forever.  You know how to soothe me.  Do so, please.

I would develop good habits of thinking.  I would listen to my heart.  I would keep a keen eye on what You say to me, in the silence.

Thank You.

Amen.

Presence of God

Dear God,

Spending time with You while I revise a manuscript is time well spent—first thing in the morning.  Then, later, I meditate, and my closeness to You is palpable.  Thank You for getting through to me, that time spent with You sets the day right, improves my attitude, and gives me the promise of a good day.

I am seeking to use my mind well in going about my day—no fretting, no worries, no obsessions.

I trust that this is Your wish for me as well. Thank You.

Amen.

Fret Not

Dear God,

When I ask for Your help, I seem to “hear” back, “Take life by the smooth handle.”  That means just to take it easy, don’t fret, keep things in perspective.  Thank You for this insight.  I know You speak in silence, but my own mind and heart sometimes give me words.

I will take life by the smooth handle today.  Things are really going along very well, and it behooves me to be grateful.

Thank You.

Amen.
