Dream

Dear God,

I had a bad dream a couple of weeks ago, and it still bothers me.  I ask for Your help in overcoming this evidence of clay feet.  I need to be insecure about nothing when You are in my corner.

Let me feel Your presence in my life when memories of the past intrude, memories that are disturbing.  Nothing need be feared when I realize that You are my comfort and my joy.

I appreciate the assurance that I will walk with sure steps when I rest in Your bosom.

Amen.

Dreams Speak

Dear God,

I awoke feeling conflict.  My subconscious from dreamland was alerting me to something I needed to consider.  Thank You for this way of discovering the best way to proceed.

I changed course as a result.  The “solution” to this issue, from yesterday, no longer seemed optimal.  Thank You for this biblical way to find an Answer from You.

Amen.

Dreams

Dear God,

I tried to analyze a dream this morning, and I got stuck on it.  This is no way to start off a beautiful Sunday.  Enough obsessive thought!  I will go easy and hope for a fresh start.

Dreams are an enigma.  Jung put great store in them, and he was a renowned psychologist.  Maybe if I return to my dream later today, I will have more insight.

Be with me as I seek to draw closer to You in these subconscious ways, like dreams.

Amen.

Balm from God

Dear God,

I am feeling insecure this morning.  It will pass.  When I feel uneasy, the only solution for me is to get close to You.  My intimacy with You is a balm that spreads over my whole life, giving me peace, giving me comfort I seem to need in great measure this morning.

I had a bad dream just before awakening and getting out of bed.  That is all.  Dreams are as much illusory as the world in which we live.  In this world we deal with slowed down energy, energy composing matter.  But it is all Your energy.

I ask that my energy be raised to You today. There is no reason to fret.  Set me on a straight path to You today.  Soothe me as only You can.

Thank You for giving me a fresh start to the day.

Amen.

Speaking with God / Hearing with God

Dear God,

This evening I feel very close to you. My life has seemed almost magical in the last few days, and especially today. Are you preparing me for something? Or is this wonderful experience just more evidence of Your loving care?

Guide me to know Your mind. I ask You to visit in my night dreams, as a way that I can come to know what You are asking of me. The blessing of these days surely portends something more in my life with You.

Thank You for sharing Your thoughts with me. I know that what I “hear” in the silence may be my imagination, but then too that is how You speak to us.

Amen.

Blessings

Dear God,

Help me to just help myself to the good things that life offers.  There are many blessings out there waiting for me.  When I see something good and honorable, something that I want, I should go ahead and taste what life offers.

Last night I dreamed of a buffet of delicious food, but I delayed in getting my lunch.  You would not have me delay.  Your blessings are spread out for the taking.

Thank You for Your blessings.

Amen.

Comfort

Dear God,

I awoke frightened, frightened from a bad dream.  This type of thing can happen when I am trying, as I am now, to remember dreams.  But You reached to me and comforted me.  I feel love, rather than feel fear.  A very great blessing.

Dreams are a potent but imperfect way to interact with ultimate reality.  Let me keep a good attitude toward what I remember from my nocturnal adventures.

Thank You for being here in comfort this morning.

Amen.

Dreams

Dear God,

Thank You so much for my good, on-the-beam, dream last night.  You talk to me in my dreams, don’t You?  It makes going to sleep a pleasure.

May the wisdom of my dreams inform my day-to-day life.  Thank You.

Amen.

Dream Guidance

Dear God,

Thank You for sealing my decision yesterday with a dream last night.  I had been praying for a dream to guide me.  It came.  I feel reassured.

This sets my mind and heart at ease.  This is pure Love on Your part, to show me the way when I had been confused and conflicted.

Thank You.

Amen.

Go to God

Dear God,

I had a bad dream last night, and I awoke feeling unsettled.  The best part of the dream was the indication that I should go to You to solve my dilemmas.  Aren’t You always the Answer?

Thank You for my sense that I am heading into a new era in my dealings with life and all that it brings to me.  I am to “be” more than to “do,” and that is welcome respite.

Thanks again.

Amen.
