Seeking Peace

Dear God,

Give me peace this day.  Let me discover from the agitation what You would have me discover, and then help me walk away from it.  Agitation is not Your way.

I would walk Your way this day.  I know that a peaceful day is Your better way.

Thank You for guiding my thoughts to this easy conclusion.

Amen.

Flow of Life

Dear God,

If I stay in the flow of life, taking things as they come, I stay calm.  If I dam up my worries and fret, I am agitated and nervous.  Why don’t I put these two facts together and make sense of them on an ongoing basis?

Keep me in the flow of life today.  Let me know that You are always here, helping me.

Coffee Jitters

Dear God,

As so often, I am praying for peace this morning.  I drink too much coffee, and this makes for a barrier between You and me.  Help me to remember to slack off tomorrow morning.

We are so used to being revved up in our daily lives that we almost don’t know how to function any other way.

I would find another way today.  Thank You for being here, pointing out a smoother way for me.

Agitation

Dear God,

I am agitated today, and as a result I feel insecure.  But Your Love offers me the greatest security that I could ever find.  Envelop me in Your Love now.  Envelop me and tell me that this too shall pass.

Just praying these words offers me calm.  Thank You for being with me, always and forever.

Amen.
