Lack of Peace

Dear God,

Many of us have just seen turmoil, anger, a lack of peace in this world.  I long to offer solace to all who are troubled.  You are here for us in every circumstance.  May I remember this.  May my brothers and sisters remember this as well.

But I know that this world is actually illusion, that our projections make for our perception.  May this tenet of A Course in Miracles grant peace to all of us.

Thank You for guiding us through difficult times.  And I know that You will do so.

Amen.

What If?

Dear God,

Let me not get trapped in playing the “what if” game.  The “what if” game is a dead end.  Not something I want to do.  “

Keep me calm and peaceful, living in the present.  As my father told me years ago, “Most things work out well.”  Let me take his words to heart now.

Thank You for staying near, helping me to advance closer to You with every passing day.

Amen.

God Sustains

Note:  After today’s post, I am going to take a break from posting for a little while.  Thank you for your views.  – Love, Celia

Dear God,

Help me to put my faith in You—only You.  The Workbook of A Course in Miracles talks about the “endless forms of nothingness” in which we believe.  But You are the Answer—the one and only Answer.

You are the Force Who sustains me.  Help me to take this piece of information unto myself and make sense of it, always.

Thank You.

Amen.

Depend on God

Dear God,

The Workbook Course in Miracles lesson that I used as an affirmation yesterday: “God is the strength in which I trust.”  And today’s lesson, also important: “There is nothing to fear.”

When I depend on You, I get along well.  When I don’t depend on You, I become afraid.

Help me to depend on You today.

Thank You.

Amen.

Centering

Dear God,

Please help me to center today, center in You.  This change for the better is often possible when I write in my journal.  And when I say the affirmation of the day from the Workbook of A Course in Miracles.

Centering is a powerful antidote to disturbing thoughts.  Thank You for giving me the wherewithal to gently turn aside from unhappy thoughts and to center in You.

Amen.

Closer to God

Dear God,

I am peaceful and relaxed this morning.  So often I push myself to get things done, a holdover from years of being busy nearly always.  But who places these demands on me?  Not You.

I would follow Your way, always and forever.

Thank You for clueing me in to the truth that a slower day may allow me to live closer to You.

Amen.
