Dear God,
Norman Vincent Peale, a writer/preacher of the past century, said much about the practical aspects of practicing Christianity. Norman has helped me greatly over the years, and I return to him now for inspiration.
Guide me, dear God, in my reading of Norman and my reading of the Bible to a healthy comprehension of spirituality. The traditional ways work if one “works” them. Thank You for the uplift my reading has given me during this holiday period.
Just as Norman says, when I talk to You like the good Friend Who You are, You soothe me and comfort me. Any and all worries dissipate into the mists from which they came.
And I am at peace.
Thank You for bringing me good peace, peace that I feel because You are hugging me close.
Amen.
