Surrendering to God

Dear God,

Thank You for the easy conversation with my husband this morning, discussing a matter that is troubling me.  He has a good mind, and he sees all the difficulties in the direction I anticipate.  I need Your advice.   I ask for clear guidance about what to do, clear guidance without obsessions on my part.

Your chosen way for me always opens up without second guessing when I am fully surrendered.  I ask You to accept my re-surrender now.

Thank You.

Amen.

  1. Beautiful words. I read through John 5 today, where Jesus is very direct, and yet, loving. He says, when persecuted by the religious leaders for healing someone on the Sabbath, “So the Jewish leaders began harassing Jesus for breaking the Sabbath rules. 17 But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.” 18 So the Jewish leaders tried all the harder to find a way to kill him. For he not only broke the Sabbath, he called God his Father, thereby making himself equal with God” (John 5:16-18).
A lot of people hated and took offense to what Jesus is saying– they always have. Yet, we must surrender to His Words if we are to have any sort of real relationship with God (John 5:20-23). It takes surrender and trust in Jesus to truly live and to truly love God. I know you said you accept some of what the Bible says about Jesus and His Words, but do you believe these ones?
    Have a blessed day.

      1. Yes! “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” (John 1:1-3) Jesus is always speaking, if only we will listen.
        Happy Valentine’s Day!
