Dear God,

I slept late this morning, a surprise.  This makes me realize how much I need sleep, “sleep that knits up the ravell’d sleave of care,” as Shakespeare said.

The way back to You is harder with a tired mind, body, and heart.  Things look brighter to me this morning.   Such a simple thing:  enough sleep.

May I remember this solution to life’s little difficulties.

I write prayers, mostly first thing in the morning, to get the day started out right. I intend this blog to encourage others to respond with their own.
