Giving Slack

Dear God,

I pray for a friend, a friend who has serious health conditions.  Sometimes I don’t know where she is coming from, and I think my confusion is because I don’t know the extent of her troubles.

Help me to always give her some slack, some slack especially when I don’t understand what is motivating her thoughts and actions.  In fact, all of us, sick and well, could use some slack.  In slack, we know forgiveness of anything and everything that we don’t comprehend.  In slack, we love.

I write prayers, mostly first thing in the morning, to get the day started out right. I intend this blog to encourage others to respond with their own.
